Perth Open Mic

Since 2014 Perth Open Mic has been providing quality live music across Perth.

Come along and listen. To perform, bring your instrument.

You’re invited to book in (below) to avoid disappointment.

We host open mics for musicians at these venues across Perth.

Each has their own style, just like you.

Market City Tavern, Canning Vale

Thursdays: 7-9.30pm

A jam session with a guest band each week.

How’s it work?

Just turn up with your gear & tell us you’d like to play. We provide a bass amp, but guitarists & drummers please BYO. Singers, please bring your rep list.

  • An acoustic artist opens the night

  • We jam

  • Feature band does a set and we listen to them

  • We jam again til close

Plenty of opportunities for acoustic artists to jam too.

If you’d like to be our guest band for the night please click ‘Get Involved’ or reach out here… shaun@streetam.com.au

We provide: 2 mics, 2 foldbacks, 1 kick mic, lights, vocal PA.

It’s not Wembley Stadium, so we’ll hear your guitar amps and kit straight from stage. But there’s plenty of vibe in this humble worker’s pub. Solid stage, comfortable for four.

Hit me up if you have any queries… shaun@streetam.com.au

Just wanted to thank you so much for the opportunities to perform. I have really enjoyed my time meeting the other musicians and playing. You’ve made me feel so welcome; it’s always nice to see your familiar smiling face at the open mics. Thank you so much for encouraging me and thinking my song choices are cool.

Music means the absolute world to me yet I was a bit apprehensive about starting back performing after not doing it for a couple of years. The open mics have been a very helpful in easing me back into performing and it reminded me how much I missed it.

I had a super awesome night on Friday! It was my first time performing at a public venue and I enjoyed every moment. Nate the coordinator was also amazing and really nice. I had such a great experience.
